Rev. Dr. Jon Komperda
Designated Association Minister
Jon comes to the Association Minister role after 16 years of ministry in Northwest Ohio as the pastor of Point Place UCC (Toledo). Jon has been married to Lauren since 2006, and they have three kids: Leah, Asher, and Baden. After getting is B.A. from Wittenberg University and his M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL), Jon waited a few years before completing his D.Min. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2024, which focused on cultural disruption and faithful risk-taking in parish life and leadership. Originally from Cleveland, Jon follows Cleveland and Ohio State sports, and enjoys coaching youth baseball in his spare time. He also loves to stay active as a runner and spends time cooking and baking bread.
Kim Nye
Office Administrator
Kim is the Office Administrator for the NWOA, beginning November 1, 2024. She provides support for the NWOA Ministry Teams & is the placement coordinator for the Search and Call process. She is the editor for “The Vine” and provides administrative support to the Association Minister. Kim lives in the Tiffin area, with her husband Mike & their 3 children. She enjoys cooking, crafting, floral design, hiking, and most of all spending time with her family.
Deb Long
Bookkeeper
Deb is the part-time bookkeeper for the Northwest Ohio Association office, beginning November of 2017 and is in the office 10 to 12 hours per week. Deb retired January 1, 2015 after 31 years as the Administrative Secretary at Mohawk Local Schools. Deb is married to Carl Long and they have three grown children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, taking care of the grandkids and walking.
