Rev. Don Giesmann

Grew up in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Has been in pastoral ministry for over 50 years including churches and ministries in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Connecticut, and South Carolina. Don became a public school teacher in secondary education briefly and then went to Gordon-Conwell Seminary for his masters and then earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree. Studies included with Princeton, Louisville, and Trinity Seminaries. Two daughters - Carrie who passed away from cancer, and Alison who has directed a women's shelter and works to help with housing needs in Michigan. Their are seven grandkids and two great grandkids. Don was ordained a Presbyterian and transferred into the UCC and pastored 3 UCC churches in Indiana, and in Fostoria and Genoa, OH. He also served as Moderator of the UCC Indiana-Kentucky Conference and various other ways of serving, He has written numerous articles, done magazine editing, and done broadcasting. Hobbies include family times, reading, travel, movies, and pet cat "Stormie". Residence is in Northwood, OH.

Kim Nye

Kim is the Office Administrator for the NWOA, beginning November 1, 2024. She provides support for the NWOA Ministry Teams & is the placement coordinator for the Search and Call process. She is the editor for “The Vine” and provides administrative support to the Association Minister. Kim lives in the Tiffin area, with her husband Mike & their 3 children Christian, Erika, & Kenzie. She enjoys cooking, crafting, floral design, hiking, and most of all spending time with her family.

Deb Long
Bookkeeper - deb@nwoa.org
Deb is the part-time bookkeeper for the Northwest Ohio Association office, beginning November of 2017 and is in the office 10 to 12 hours per week. Deb retired January 1, 2015 after 31 years as the Administrative Secretary at Mohawk Local Schools. Deb is married to Carl Long and they have three grown children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, taking care of the grandkids and walking.
