Disaster Kit Depot Drop Off

2021 Disaster Kits Collection

Church World Service Buckets & Hygiene Kits

This year, 2021, the Northwest Ohio Association, UCC (NWOA) will partner with Church World Service (CWS) and collect CWS clean up buckets and hygiene kits. Please follow the list provided below because contents have changed. In the past CWS disaster kits were shipped to locations for storage. CWS offers designated depot drop-offs through a CWS representative in Columbus, Ohio.  (No need to collect funds for shipping) NWOA will be designated as a depot drop-off. The kits will be gathered and a CWS truck will travel to Tiffin for pick-up.

Depot drop-off dates at the NWOA office will be May 3 to May 7, 2021 from 9 am to 3 pm. Please plan to deliver the kits your congregation has assembled during this depot drop-off week.

EMERGENCY CLEANUP BUCKET LIST

Flooding devastates too many communities each year. You’re helping a family recover quickly and safely with a bucket that is full of key supplies like gloves, dust masks and trash bags. These supplies mean families can get straight to work cleaning up and moving forward.

HYGIENE KITS LIST

These little kits are jam-packed with supplies to help keep people clean and healthy. From toothbrushes to washcloths, you’re making sure that someone’s needs are going to be met in the wake of an emergency when even the most basic supplies can be hard to come by.

All of the resources on the CWS Kits, including the “how to put all of the items in the bucket” videos can be found here: Resources – CWS Kits

With all the disaster kits you as the Northwest Ohio Association, UCC assembled over the years, please continue this mission.

Excited to partner with Church World Service.

But I still have the small bucket kits to offer, bring those too. CWS will accept the small buckets until we get totally transitioned to the CWS ways.
