2021 Periodic Support Consultation

All authorized ministers, ordained, licensed, commission (active or retired) are required to attend one of the following Periodic Support Consultations at least once every two years. The purpose of the consultation is to provide support and encourage ministers’ personal and vocational development and to provide an occasion for reflection and feedback on the practice of ministry. They also provide opportunities to review and strengthen relationships among the covenantal partners.

To meet the standards set by the United Church of Christ Manual on Ministry, the Northwest Ohio Association Church and Ministry Team is expected to conduct these consultations for all authorized ministers with standing in the Association. All authorized ministers need to participate in a Periodic Support Consultation to meet these standards, as well as any pastor new to the Association. This also includes retired ministers. (The exception to attending this Periodic Support Consultation would be if you are regularly attending an Excellence in Ministry Group.)
